Watch: Colombian Artists Rap About Nepal on Dr. Dre’s ‘Still D.R.E’ Beat

They say music has no language and TikTok really has been proving it. For real, it’s always so great to see people from across the globe dancing to Nepali music and share it on the platform.

But for a change, we’ve got a new video that doesn’t have a creator dancing to Nepali song but two rappers rapping about Nepal.

Danni el Poeta and Rusbell are Colombian rappers who post videos of themselves mostly doing freestyles on the streets; and for some reason, their latest video has them rapping about Nepal in Spanish. There are just couple of words you understand — like Nepal, Kathmandu, Everest — but still gotta appreciate the effort. They’re actually pretty good. No wonder the song’s going viral — with already over 400k views in less than 24 hours. Dang!!

One thing though, I am not 100% sure that he did, but I felt like Danni actually said something about Nima Rumba. Again, I am not sure ‘cos “rumba” (technically a form of dance music) also informally means to party. So yeah, there’s that. But surely not crossing out the possibility that he might have looked up something like “Nepali pop star who slaps” and came to know about one of our pop icons.

And I also totally dig that hook; that “Nepal lai shubhakamana” sounds so good. 10/10 for the effort, ngl. Where do I sign a petition to release a studio version of this song?

These guys really did justice to that legendary ‘Still D.R.E.’ beat. What y’all think?
