This is the second song, after Sushant KC’s ‘Sarangi’, to have been released this week which already is a big hit even before the studio version came out.

John Chamling Rai had put out a raw version of ‘Hawa Jastai‘ on his YouTube earlier this year in January. In less than six months, the video of him performing the song among his friends, has garnered almost a million views. He has also been performing the song in his live concerts and has been getting all the love from the audience.

After all these months, the singer-songwriter has finally released the studio version of the song. Written, composed and sung by John himself, the song has Shreehang Rai on guitars, Manahang Rai on bass and Kapil Sunuwar on drums. The song is released with a music video starring stand up comic Sujan Zimba, who has done a good job, I must say. Also starring Dixya Gurung and Himanshu JB Rana, the video is shot by Sandeep Tiwari and Bidhan Bastola, while Nicholas Gurung has directed this Changa Production produced music video.
