Here’s How You Can Vote for Arthur Gunn From Nepal (Or Anywhere in the World)

Arthur Gunn aka Dibesh Pokharel has been killing it in the 18th season of American Idol and it’s time we show the 22-year-old contestant our support and if you’re not in the United Stated, be prepared to go an extra mile for it.

On Sunday night (in the US) and Monday morning (in Nepal), American Idol returned for the first live show broadcasting from the homes of the contestants and the judges. The episode showcased performances from the Top 20. Each of the contestant were shipped equipment and they performed alongside the Idol band. Joining them were the judges, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry along with the host, Ryan Seacrest and in-house mentor, Bobby Bones, who appeared right from their homes.

Our boy, Arthur Gunn, performed ‘Lovin’ Machine’ by Wynonie Harris and no wonder the judges loved it. Here, watch the performance here.

Now, voting is simple if you reside in the US. Here are the three ways you can vote for him — 10 votes from each, which means you can cast 30 votes in total for him. Come on, go ahead and pick up your phones already.

But if you’re in Nepal or any other part of the world, it won’t be this simple to vote. You will need a VPN application/software and you will need to put yourself in the USA and then follow the same instructions to vote. The voting site is Oh come on, it’s not that complicated as you’ve been using VPN for some “other important stuff” already. Right?

Also, there’s this app called 2nd Line that lets you “add a second phone line to your smart phone”, meaning you can get a US number and text to vote for him. No, it doesn’t cost you a single penny. Remember, you have to text ‘”16″ to 21523.

I know, it might feel like that’s a lot of work but believe me, it’s only take like five minutes of time. In the past, we’ve done a lot of stuff to vote for the contestants that we aren’t really proud of now, those who weren’t really the most deserving to win a competition. But it’s different with Arthur Gunn. He’s not just hamro but the good thing is, he is ramro as well.

The voting lines are open until 9am ET on Monday (6:45 PM on Monday in Nepal). Come on, let’s do it.
