Samarpan Lama Wins India’s Best Dancer 3

Nepali contestants have always been doing well in Indian reality television shows — especially in dancing talent hunts — and now, one of the biggest feats from a Nepali contender has been achieved as Samarpan Lama has won the third season of India’s Best Dancer 3.

Lama was among the favorites to lift the trophy this season, and he did. Popular for his contemporary performances, he took home the cash prize of INR 15 lakhs; while his choreographer Bhawana Khanduja received 5 lakhs. Anjali Mamgai and Shivanshu Soni were announced the first and second winners, respectively, in the grand finale held in Mumbai on September 30.

The third edition of the show had premiered earlier this year in April on Sony. Hosted by Jay Bhanushali, this season was judged by Geeta Kapoor, Terence Lewis and Sonali Bendre. The lead cast of upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Ganapath’, Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, were also part of the finale along with Govinda. Indian Idol winners Salman Ali and Pawandeep Rajan also performed during the finale event.

Samarpan is currently based in Pune, Maharashtra. He is also an active YouTuber with over 2 lakh subscribers on the platform.

Congratulations, Samarpan!!
