Just when you thought all of this year’s share of reality show limelight belongs to Arthur Gunn, enters Bhim Niroula. Yep, the Bhim Niroula.
I was introduced to the viral sensation by BuzzFeed as the popular digital media outlet wrote about the song that was titled something like ‘The awesome Nepali song you didn’t even know you were waiting for” and it totally caught my attention. No wonder, the 2013 song quickly became a smash hit and not just because people were loving it but for quite the opposite reason as well.
Niroula then released a number of other singles as well, including a Nepali version of ‘Sunday Morning’ but none of them became as popular.
Six and a half years later, he is now part of Britain’s Got Talent. Now 54, he didn’t only appear for the auditions in the 14th season of the widely popular international TV reality show but absolutely nailed it as well. While Simon Cowell didn’t seem to enjoy his ‘Sunday Morning’ performance, the other three judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams thoroughly enjoyed it. Not to mention the audience as even after he left the stage, the entire studio kept singing ‘I wanna love you everyday….!”
Here.
You go, Bhim dai.
