Good folks in Australia are celebrating the greatest invention in the history of mankind – MOMOS.
After the event’s massive success last year, Momo Fest is coming back with its second edition – BIGGER than ever. The event by Solangture is now a 3-day festival, starting this Friday evening (March 23rd).
What to expect?
Momos, momos, and lots of momos of almost all the shapes, sizes and varieties possible. You would be able to enjoy over thirty different kinds of momos as there would be dozens of vendors specializing in creating those perfect pieces of “happiness” that you can never get enough of. Yep, never!!
What else?
While the event is all about momos (what else do you need in life anyway?) — there would be, however, a lot of other stuff to do and enjoy as well. One of the most iconic and classic animated feature films, The Jungle Book, will be screened on Friday evening at 8. Take a trip down the memory lane with this 1967 film as you enjoy your plate(s) of momos.
The next day, on Saturday – which is the main event day, The Jungle Book – the 2016 live action film – will be screened. You would also be enjoying some beautiful music as Kutumba – the popular Nepali folk band – will be performing a set during the event that will also see other local musicians and artists perform.
There are also going to be some dance performances. Not to forget, a belated Holi will be celebrated as well.
So when and where is this event taking place exactly?
Oh, we didn’t tell that already? Okay. So, the event is taking place at the Coburg Velodrome in Coburg, Victoria. It kicks off at 5 PM on Friday, March 23. After the first day of the event that finishes at 10 PM, it would be open from 11 AM to 10 PM on Saturday. On Sunday, the event resumes at 11 AM through 5 PM.
Got it? Great.
Looks like soooo much fun already? How much do I need to pay to attend the event?
The entry — WAIT FOR IT – is free for everyone. You read that right, it’s a free event. You just need to pay for what you eat – everything else is taken care of.
Can’t believe it? Alright, be there to see for yourself.
Have a momolicious weekend, y’all!
