It’s time!
I am sure if you are an MMA fan, this ain’t no breaking news to you ‘cos you already know what’s goin’ down tonight.
Quite a historic day it’s gon’ be for Nepali MMA scene as our very own homegrown talent, Rabindra Dhant, is making his big ONE Championship debut tonight on September 15th as he takes on Torepchi Dongak of Russia at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand in a Flyweight category fight.
While it’s going to be our boy’s first fight in the championship, his 23-year-old opponent who made his debut early this year in March, has experience of two fights with the track record of 1 win and 1 loss. But that doesn’t really mean that Dhant ain’t got nothin’ on Dongak; with his 100% win record in all of his previous fights since his first bout against Pradeep Singh at Hosharafu Fighting Championship that went down in New Delhi on 5th May, 2019; the 24-year-old fighter from Bajhang is gonna step on that ring tonight eying for nothing else but a win.
In his last fight, Dhant had an easy win against India’s Jason Lyngdoh when he faced him at Nepal Warrior Championship in Kathmandu earlier this year in June. And he’s gonna aim to keep his win streak going against his Russian opponent.
No matter what, I am hoping for a good fight. These are all the fights happening tonight during One Friday Nights 33 — with the main event headlined by Thailand’s YOD-IQ and Russia’s Alexey Balyko in a Catchweight Muay Thai fight.
