Travel + Leisure, one of the leading travel magazines, recently released its 2017 “It List” of the top new and radically redone hotels in the world. Chosen by the editors of the prestigious US travel publication; the list also includes Meghuali Serai, a luxury lodge located in the outskirts of Chitwan National Park in Nepal.
The lodge that was opened in April last year by Taj Safaris is managed by CG Hotels and Resorts. It has 13 well-appointed rooms offering elevated views over the jungle-scape and 16 independent villas that have their own private plunge pools.
“Taj Safaris’ latest lodge has a prime location, so rhino-spotting excursions are relatively effortless. After a few hours astride an elephant, unwind with a private plunge pool, an alfresco massage, and a Tharu meal. From $300, including meals”, the publication wrote about Meghauli Serai.
The list that has 44 hotels and resorts from 31 countries and six continents also includes New York’s The Beekman, Hawaii’s Four Seasons, Turkey’s Canyon Ranch Kaplankaya, Bali’s Katamama, Beijing’s Peninsula, Maldives’ Soneva Jani, Paris’ Ritz and Amsterdam’s Pulitzer among others.
The 12th annual Travel + Leisure “It List” will be featured in the March 2017 issue of the magazine.
