Nischal Basnet is wearing that director’s hat after six years; ‘Loot 2’ being his last directorial venture, which came out in 2017.
For his new film titled ‘Dimagg Kharab’, he pretty much said, “Let’s just get all of the finest actors in the industry to do this thing.” For real though, the film’s got an impressive cast, like really impressive. They’ve got Dayahang Rai, Khagendra Lamichhane, Arpan Thapa, Swastima Khadka and Bijay Baral in pivotal roles. But you know who I am most excited to see part of this cast?

They’ve got him, making his silver screen debut. And I am so happy that they didn’t go with a comedic role but a serious one for him. I know he is a damn good comedian and would have totally nailed a funny role. But as they say, if one can make people laugh, he can do pretty much anything. So yep, stoked!
The film also stars another fine actor, Maotse Gurung along with Puskar Gurung, Rama Thapaliya, Gauravi RL Singh and Rajan Khatiwada. Aakash Baral has written the script for the film produced by Raunak Bikram Kandel.
The film is slated for Tihar release — two months from now — on November 10th. A quite promising one-minute teaser has also been released.
This better be good, otherwise I am gon’ be rioting.
