Turns out, those TikTok hits do boost up the numbers in other platforms as well.

‘Samrajya’ featuring Yabi and Paschimey was Nawaj Ansari’s most streamed song on YouTube until this week but it has now been dethroned by another record by the rapper.

In less than four months of its release on YouTube, ‘Jungle Ko Bhoot’ has amassed 7.7 million views on the platform, becoming the US-based rapper’s top single. The collab with Jhapali$h was a major hit on TikTok with tens of thousands of videos made using the sound. It surely helped the song to gain popularity in other platforms as well. This was the second collaboration of Nawaj and Jhapali$h after their first, ‘Vim Saboon‘, that came out last year in 2022 and was part of ‘Hazaar Quitab’ album.

Previously, ‘Samrajya‘ — a song released in March of 2021 — was Nawaj’s most popular record. It currently has 7.5 mil hits on YouTube.

One of the top Nepali rap artists right now, Nawaj Ansari has been consistently releasing new songs. He has already released nine singles this year so far, and we’re just in the middle of it. There’s a lot more to come out by the end of the year for sure.

I had first listened to him when he put in a rap verse in a Tihar song nine years ago in 2014; it is so good to see his progress as he has constantly shown growth as an emcee.

Keep it going, Nawaj. You’re doing great.
