I am sure most of the people woke up this morning and saw the video clips of Prakash Saput getting hit in the face with something that looks like a beer/soda can or bottle. Definitely not a great start to the day.
The incident took place last evening on June 25 at Grădina de vară, Herăstrău Park in Romania where the second edition of Yaad Nepali Music Festival took place. Along with the ‘Sakambari’ hitmaker, Preeti Ale Magar was the other artist to perform at the concert.
The event seems to be going well when an asshole decides to ruin it for everyone. Not just ruin it, but straight up insult not the only the artist but also the art form.
I mean, what kind of sick person does this? He is far away from home; and an artist from back home has come to his city to perform. And when you attend a Nepali concert abroad, it’s not just about listening to the music but somewhere, somehow, it connects you to home and you are able to experience not just Nepali music, but Nepal as well. And this person, I am sorry – I will correct it – this piece of shit, just throws it all away, not just for him but for all the other people who paid RON 100 (which is almost NPR 2900) to attend this event. Apart from that, he gave Prakash one of the worst experiences of his life. He will never be able to enjoy 100% on a stage for a long time now and will somewhere be scared that something similar might happen.
This is f*cked up! And the irony is, the tagline of the event is “We Respect Our Culture”.
However, give it up for Prakash Saput for being such a sport. He took some time to gather himself and then went straight back to the stage and continued to perform. A true example of ‘the show must go on’. What a dude, man. What a dude. Respect!
It’s not good to think evil for anyone, but I really hope that sicko gets served a dose of Karma. Asshole!
And to Prakash Saput…
