‘Sapana Ko Awaz’, titled as ‘The Sound of Dreaming’ in English, is a short film that revolves around the characters of Sonam, who is about to move to Australia from Nepal, and Bikash, a ride-sharing motorcycle driver — both of whom have the same recurring dream.

Written and directed by Nepal-based Australian filmmaker, Kalani Gacon; the short film has been doing rounds on the film festival circuit around the world, including Busan, LA, Melbourne, Oldenburg, Bengaluru, Macau, among others. The film, jointly-produced by Gacon and Sampada Malla, stars Reema Midhun Magar, Saroj Shrestha, Rohit Rumba, Chhoki Sherpa, Kayba Adhikari and Radha Shrestha.

An original soundtrack from the film has now been released online. Titled ‘Hola Kasto Yo Bipani’, the song is written and performed by Shreeti Pradhan; and it’s produced and mixed by Ganga Thapa with Eileen O’Neall on cello.
