Amidst all the exaggerated, unnecessarily sensationalised and clickbaity YouTube videos; it’s always great to seem some genuine content.
If you’ve had enough of all the drama that’s going on on the video-sharing platform, here’s something that might interest you. An open field; two cups — wait I mean two glasses of tea, um chiya; a host who actually lets the guest talk, a fine actor/humble guest and a candid conversation — the perfect ingredients for a wholesome interview.
Exhibit Studio’s ‘Sukul Guff’ premiered last week with actress Swastima Khadka as the web show’s first guest. For the second episode, they’ve got one of the most talented actors we have, Khagendra Lamichhane who talks about his upbringing in Syangja, his relationship with his father, the coincidences that led him to start acting and then landing a role in his debut feature film ‘Badhshala’ that came out in 2013, among others.
Hosted by Avas Karmacharya, the show is conceptualised by Sanjog Rai. Here, put your 40 minutes to good use.
I am fond of Neelesh Misra’s ‘The Slow Interview’ series and I always wished we had something like that here in Nepal. Well, here we are!
Anyway, so the ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’ actor is now all set to make his feature directorial debut with ‘Pani Photo’, a film adaptation of the popular theatre play of the same name. We would probably see the film this year (if the pandemic lets us). Fingers crossed.
