Nepal Idol is returning for a second season. Of course, you know that already. But do you know that they have announced the audition dates and venues as well? If yes, great. If no, read on.
AP1 TV’s popular singing reality television show will hit the television screens later this year. And the network recently gave away the information regarding the auditions.
While the auditions for the first season had started in January last year, it will only start from March this year. Also, there are some changes regarding the audition venues. The auditions were held in seven cities — Nepalgunj, Butwal, Narayangarh, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Kathmandu — last year but there have been slight changes this year, as only six venues have been scheduled. Bhairahawa, Dangadhi, Hetauda and Dharan are the four new cities; along with Pokhara and Kathmandu where the auditions will be held, starting from March 20th. Nepalgunj, Butwal, Narayangarh, Birgunj and Biratnagar won’t have any auditions and the participants from those cities will have to go to the nearest audition venues.

Dhangadhi – Sunday, March 25, 2018 (Chaitra 11, 2074): Sudur Paschimanchal Academy
Hetauda – Monday, April 16, 2018 (Baisakh 3, 2075): Siddhartha Secondary School
Dharan – Saturday, April 21, 2018 (Baisakh 8, 2075): Bishnu Memorial Higher Secondary School
Pokhara – Friday, April 27, 2018 (Baisakh 14, 2075) Shree Janapriya Secondary School
The audition details for Kathmandu is yet to be announced.
The first episode of Nepal Idol Season 1 was premiered on AP1 Television on April 14th last year. The season finale was held in Doha on September 23rd later that year. Buddha Lama had won the title with the most number of votes, walking away with a prize money of Rs. 20 Lakh along with a Mahindra KUV 100 car and a record deal worth Rs. 15 Lakh.
There you go, guys! Go tell everyone you know who can sing; and most importantly, somebody please tell Jhakkad Thapa about the auditions. We need him in the second season as well. Woot woot!
