The makers of ‘Saayad’ and ‘Hostel’ franchises are to launch Naren Limbu with their next project ‘Laure’. The singer who started out with a band called Aastha with Sudip Gurung in 2003 had later went solo after releasing a self-titled album which had hits like ‘Harpal’ and ‘Ek Mauka’. The ‘Antim Maya’ and ‘Malai Bhanna Aaudaina’ hitmaker also is a filmmaker himself and has directed a number of music videos for himself and other artists.
Apart from Limbu; the film will also star ‘Lukamari’ fame Bikram Singh, ‘Gajalu’ fame Shristi Shrestha, and Mirnua Magar. Alok Shukla, a Mumbai based cinematographer, will be in charge of shooting the film produced by Sunil Rawal, Ishwor Shrestha, Tufan Gauchan and Subash Lamichhane under the banner of Durgish Films. The film will be directed by Nigam Shrestha, who had directed 2013 film ‘Chhadke’. He has been roped in for Rs. 1.7 million for the film. According to Rawal, the overall budget of the film will cross Rs. 10 million.
Last year, Durgish Films had also announced to introduce former 1974 AD vocalist Adrian Pradhan in their upcoming flick titled ‘Woolen Mary’. The film will go on floors this year.
This is how the lead starcast of ‘Laure’ looks like.
Well, we’ve seen Limbu acting in various music videos and have loved his work so far. We’re hopeful that he will have a good silver screen debut as well. For now, enjoy ‘Mero Mann Ma’ music video, directed by him.
