A visually impaired person hands you a Rs. 1000 note by mistake and asks you to give him a change of Rs. 100, what would you do? Would you tell him that it’s a 1000-rupee note or would you take advantage of the situation and steal from him? Though majority of the people who can’t see can tell you what amount it is by just touching the note, but what if someone got confused and could be easily stolen from, what would the people do? To find out this, these guys from Net TV conducted a social experiment. They went on the streets of Kathmandu and captured the actions of different people while they had a chance to steal from a blind man. But did they?

The crew was expecting that most of the people would grab the opportunity and take away the blind man’s money but they were completely surprised by the reactions. During their two-day experiment, they didn’t find even a single person who didn’t help the blind man. When we read about crimes taking place all around us every single day, we often tend to suspect every stranger that they might harm us or steal from us. But in reality, most of them are ordinary and regular people just like us. They work hard, they care for others and they help other people whenever they have a chance to.
