‘Kalo Pothi’ To Hit Theaters In Nepal In June


The release date of much awaited film ‘Kalo Pothi – The Black Hen’ has been announced. The film that bagged Best Film award at the 72nd Venice International Film Critics’ Week in Italy is all set for its release on June 3rd. The film written and directed by Min Bahadur Bham stars Khadka Raj Nepali, Sukra Raj Rokaya, Jit Bahadur Malla, Hansha Khadka, Benisha Hamal, Nanda Prashad Khatri, Bipin Karki and Pravin Khatiwada. Set in early 2000s, the film tells the story of two friends who set out on a journey to find their missing hen during the civil war period. The film produced by Anna Katchko, Tsering Rhitar Sherpa, Min Bahadur Bham, Debaki Rai and Anup Thapa under the banners of Shooney Films (Nepala), Tandem Production (Germany), Mila Productions (Nepal), CDP (France) and Kaldhungi Films (Nepal) has so far been screened at various international film festivals around the world in Italy, Germany, Korea, Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, Israel, India, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Uruguay, Turkey, USA and Taiwan.
