Since last two days, my Instagram and TikTok feeds are full of “Stuveena” wedding pictures and videos posted by family and friends of the “Veena”, Raveena Desraj Shrestha; and I love them.

The former CEO of Mega Bank tied the knot with fiance Stuart Chapman in Kathmandu earlier this week on Jun 22.

Damn! Look at them, and look at their families, straight up goals!

While Stuart is not as popular as his two-time 21st Century Golden Phoenix Award winning celebrity banker bride (in Nepal), but he is a legend in his field too. The Conservationist has been in the game for over three decades, having started out as a Ranger Trainer in 1991 at Wolong Panda Reserve in China. He then joined WWF (nope, not that WWE thing; the other one who are into nature, animal and conservation stuff — World Wildlife Fund) in 1993, stationed in Vietnam.

Since then, he has been all around the world, mostly Asia, doing his thing. In 2019, he got appointed as the Leader of WWF’s Tigers Alive Initiative with the goal to double the numbers of tigers in the wild by 2022 and is now based in Nepal.

Apart from the big things that he has been doing with WWF International; he is also on a side quest to see all the 41 species of cat in the wild; and he has already seen like 30 or so of them. He also has a YouTube channel where he documents all of his wildlife adventure stuff.

They say age is just a number and it’s never too late; that seems about right. It’s so good to see such accomplished individuals (TEDx Talk level of accomplished) in their 50s falling in love all over again and making it happen.

Never met them, but still so happy for them.
