A Song, Released Along With ‘Sakambari’, That You’ve Been Sleeping On

I don’t think if you are reading this, you haven’t already watched ‘Sakambari’. I mean, there’s no chance you haven’t come across the latest Prakash Saput music video. The song that was released last week, on Apr 13, has already garnered over 8 million views in its 5-day run so far. It is sure to surpass the views of another hit of this month, ‘Je Chhau Timi’, the Swoopna Suman x Samir Shrestha collab, which had taken a little over two weeks to hit the 10 million views feat.

But as you might have noticed, I tend to write more about the underrated ones than the others that have already become popular. It was ‘Anadi‘ by Oasis Thapa, that released around at the same as ‘Je Chhau Timi’; and this time it’s the new song by Sailesh Niroula.

One of the realest rappers in the scene, who goes by his stage name Shabdajaal, put out his latest work a day after the release of ‘Sakambari’, on Apr 14. And while the Prakash Saput music video portrayed the reality of casting couch and sexual assault that many girls have to experience, even from their so called relatives and family friends; this one shows another dark side of the society.

The song is called ‘Traas’ and it tells the story of an acid attack incident. Written and performed by Shabdajaal, the music for the track is produced by Birendra Keshari. The music video that stars Pooja Katwal, Bharat Karki and Deepa Pokharel, among others; is a work of Yatra Films and is directed by Shabdajaal himself.

This is some amazing piece of work. Watch.
