Anushka Shrestha Has Made it to Top 40 of Miss World

A big news has just arrived from London for Nepali pageant fans.

Nepal’s bet in the 69th edition of Miss World, Anushka Shrestha, has already made the top 40, four days ahead of the finale event that is scheduled to take place at the ExCel London in London.

The Miss World organization made the announcement earlier today on its official Facebook handle.

Anushka, who was part of head to head challenge group 10, had earlier competed with the participants from Tanzania, Gibraltar, Poland, Mexico and Cayman Islands that she won with the highest number of online votes. In the second round, she had to go head to head with the Indonesian delegate to emerge as one of the ten winners to have secured a place in the top 40.

The 23-year-old reigning Miss Nepal had left for the UK in November to compete with over 100 other participants from around the globe. The final event will see Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crown her successor on 14th of December.
