Shrinkhala Khatiwada released her introduction video for the Miss World 2018 pageant on her personal YouTube channel last evening (Friday); and no wonder it already has garnered over 600,000 views on the video-sharing platform in less than twenty hours.
The spectacular video is a work of Abin Bho, along with Sisan Baniya and Manish Maharjan. Kobid Bajra has composed the music for the video that has the Miss Nepal World seen traveling to some beautiful locations across the nation, wearing designs by Manish Rai, Astik Sherchan and Bora Studio.
The 23-year-old architect is currently in China, representing Nepal to compete with over 120 other contestants from around the world for the prestigious crown. She will be taking part in various competitions and activities until December 8th when the new Miss World succeeds Manushi Chhillar of India.

“I am Shrinkhala Khatiwada and I believe in the power of dreams”, she introduces herself in the introduction video. “The land of 123 ethnic groups. a country that does not believe in tall buildings but would rather dwell in the nature”, she says about Nepal.
“From the land of Mount Everest and the birthplace of lord Buddha; I represent the unheard voices of the shy girls, the strong spirit of our Gurkhas, the strength of all the independent women of today, the hardship, the resilience and the pride of the 13 million Nepalese, and I am so proud to represent this beautiful country of Nepal, to wave our crimson flag high at the world stage, ready to take any challenge life has to bring. So now I’ve embarked upon the biggest challenge of my life yet, to be the Miss World 2018.”
The closest Nepal has ever reached to the Miss World crown was in 2013 when Ishani Shrestha placed in the Top 10. Can Shrinkhala Khatiwada create history for Nepal this year? Well, the hopes are high.
You go, girl!
