Did seeing Nikita Chandak representing Nepal in the spectacular stage of Miss World in China had you dreaming and wishing it were you? Did seeing Nagma Shrestha making Nepal’s debut in the Miss Universe pageant excite you? Have you been wishing you could represent your beautiful nation like Niti Shah, Rojina Shrestha and Sahara Basnet did last year in Miss International, Miss Earth and Miss Asia Pacific International pageants, respectively? If you just answered with a “YES!”, keep reading.
The application are now open and the hunt is on for Nepal’s next beauty queens. Yes, the MISS NEPAL pageant is back!
How about you quickly check if you would quality to compete for the crown?
First things first; you need to be between 19 to 25 years of age, as of December 31, 2018. You also need to be an unmarried – in fact, never married – naturally born female; and you MUST be a Nepali citizen.
Regarding your educational qualifications; you must have completed at least Grade 12 or equivalent. Now, coming to another important requirement; you MUST be at least 5 ft 4 inches, which is like 164.6 cms. Is everything good so far? Great.
Wait, that’s not it yet. You also need to be “attractive, possess sound health and have a good moral character.” Understood? One last thing, you should NOT have any tattoo on your body. Yep, not tattoos.
If you’re cool with all of these prerequisites, you, yes YOU could be the next MISS NEPAL. Woot woot!
All you got to do is download the application form from Miss Nepal’s official website (click right HERE), fill it up, and submit it along with one full length and one close-up photographs of minimum 5″x7″ size that haven’t been edited/photoshopped. You will also need to submit the photocopies of your citizenship and academic certificates. Just place all of these in a sealed envelope and send it to The Hidden Treasure office. Remember, the deadline is February 15,2018 (Falgun 3, 2074).
The 23rd edition of the pageant will have its auditions in eight cities across the country – Dhangadhi, Dharan, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Birgunj and Birtamod – followed by the final round of audition in Kathmandu on February 17th. The selected candidates will then go through seven weeks of training to finally compete for the coveted crown on April 11 at Hotel Annapurna in the capital.
