Sabita Karki Finishes Runner-up In India’s Next Top Model Season 3

The third season of India’s Next Top Model has come to an end with the grand finale episode aired on MTV earlier tonight (December 16).

20-year-old Riya Subodh from Ahmedabad emerged as the winner of the reality TV show. Nepali model Sabita Karki was announced the first-runner up; followed by Pune girl Shweta Raj.

For the final photo-shoot challenge, the three finalists had to pose with their family members who were present there. As Sabita’s family could not be there, she posed with the presenters Mr. Gaba and Anusha Dandekar.

The winner was chosen based on their final photo-shoot, their final ramp walk and the over-all journey and transformation on the show.

The season had premiered on MTV on October 21st with 16 contestants. 6 of them were eliminated on the second episode and the remaining 10 had entered the India’s Next Top Model Resort.  All of them had to be part of various photo-shoot and ramp walk challenges in past eight weeks; and the panel of judges — consisting of Malaika Arora, Milind Soman, Dabboo Ratnani — sent a contestant home every week, based on their performances.
