Sabita Karki Makes It To India’s Next Top Model Season 3


Nepali model Sabita Karki is one of the contestants to be featured on India’s Next Top Model this year.

The Kathmandu based model made it through the auditions to be one of the thirteen contenders for the title. The 23-year-old is quite a successful model in Nepal already and has featured in various magazines and dailies including TNM, M&S VMAG, The Himalayan Times, among others. At 5’8″, she has also walked the ramps of a number of fashion shows in Kathmandu including TGIF Fashion Week, Classic Diamonds Fashion Show and Surya Nights.

This is the third season of the model hunt reality TV show. Danielle Canute and Pranati Rai Prakash had won the previous editions of the show, respectively. Malaika Arora, Milind Soman, Dabboo Ratnani, Anusha Dandekar and Neeraj Gaba will be judging this season of the Indian version of America’s Next Top Model.

Karki is the second Nepali model to be featured on Next Top Model franchise. In 2012, Aastha Pokharel was a part of Asia’s Next Top Model, held in Singapore. She had finished in Top 5 in the competition. Later in 2014, Pokharel had succeeded in winning another model hunt in India – Kingfisher Supermodels 2.

India’s Next Top Model airs every Saturday on MTV at 7:15 PM (NST).
