‘Up in the Wind’ is a Chinese film starring ‘Flowers of War’ star Ni Ni and singer-actor Jing Boran in the lead roles. The film directed by Teng Huatao was released in December 2013. The road movie is almost entirely filmed in Nepal — mostly in Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara.

Ni Ni plays Cheng Yumeng who is an aspiring Shanghai-based lifestyle magazine writer who is super excited about going to Tuscany to do a story; but her editor sends her to Nepal instead. So an upset Cheng has to go to Nepal where she meets Wang Can (Jing Boran), a spoiled brat.
