Kicking off the Miss Universe festivities, over 90 contestants from all around the world showed off their national costumes on Saturday, November 18 in Las Vegas, USA.
Nagma Shestha, Nepal’s first ever representative in the prestigious international pageant, vowed the audience at Planet Hollywood Resort during the National Costume Show as she walked the runway wearing the handmade ethnic costume designed by Bina Ghale, paired with the sculpted Mandala as the head-gear by Bijay Maharjan.
Shrestha walked the ramp and posed gracefully, pulling off the ‘Embodiment of Spirituality’ attire neatly even with the 3-kilogram head-gear on.
At 5’11”, the 25-year-old is the tallest Nepali female delegate to represent Nepal at any international pageants. She also is the most experienced delegate having already represented Nepal at Miss Earth, Miss University and Miss Eco Universe pageants.
The coronation night of the 66th edition of Miss Universe will be taking place in Las Vegas on November 26th (afternoon of the 27th in Nepal).
