Finals Of Miss World & Miss International: Nikita Chandak, Niti Shah Represent Nepal

The final shows of two of the five ‘Big 5’ pageants – Miss World and Miss International – are taking place this week. And the Nepali delegates are looking stronger than ever.

The final show of the 57th edition of Miss International will be taking place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan on Tuesday, November 14. It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that Niti Shah seems to be the strongest representative Nepal has ever sent to compete in this pageant.

The 21-year-old is one of the very few Nepali delegates in any of the international pageants to get such amount of attention from the pageant experts. The leading pageant portal Missosology has constantly been picking her as one of the Hot Picks in the competition this year. “Nepal’s Niti Shah did not disappoint us. She has the face of royalty!”, Missosology had written about Shah when they met her in Tokyo upon her arrival. Another portal, Sashes & Scripts, too have Niti Shah on their ‘Leaderboard’.

A total of 69 contestants are vying for the title of 57th Miss International this year. Will Niti Shah be able to succeed Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines this year and emerge as the first ever Nepali delegate to win any of the ‘Big 5’ pageants? Well, we’ll have to wait to see. But we’re definitely very hopeful.

Four days after the final of Miss International, the coronation night of the 67th edition of Miss World will be held at the Sanya City Arena in China. Nikita Chandak is representing Nepal at the pageant that witnesses the most number of participants every year. A total of 118 delegates from around the world have gathered to compete for the coveted title this year.

Nikita Chandak, after winning the Head to Head Challenge round of Group 3, has already made it into the Top 40. The 20-year-old’s Beauty With A Purpose project ‘Let’s Be Period Positive‘ is also one of the 20 semi-finalists in the fast track challenge. She also was among the Top 30 contestants in the Top Model fast track challenge.

Chandak will be trying her best to bring Nepal the prestigious crown for the very first time. Stephani Del Valle of Puerto Rico will crown her successor in the end of the final show.

Both of our delegates in Miss World and Miss International look very strong and we hope they create history this year.

Go, Nepal, Go!
