Safar has been officially released online. The film that was entirely shot in various locations across the USA had marked the debut of popular television and radio personality, Sanjay Gupta, along with Manan Sapkota and Nurja Shrestha. The film that also stars the ‘Raghav’ actor Shibir Pokharel, is produced by Keshav Khadka and Ashish Shrestha under the banner of Yuva Films. Written by Keshav Khadka, the film directed by Ashish Shrestha follows the story of three best friends who set out on a 7-day road trip from Dallas to San Fransisco, as a farewell trip to Shibir who has decided to return to Nepal.

While Shibir had already done a film before, and Manan and Nurja too had done short films; it was first acting experience for Sanjay who will also be seen in Milan Chams’ ‘Happy Days’ along with Dayahang Rai and Priyanka Karki later this year. And we must say, he has done a pretty good job.

The film was released in Nepal in September last year. Good music, beautiful locations, decent performances and an average story — you might actually like this film. Watch it here.
