The 11th episode — the third and last Theater Round — of Nepal Idol saw 28 contestants put their best foot forward in an effort to make it to the Top 16. All of them performed so well that judges couldn’t just select 16 out of them, and had to make it 18.
But the episode that was aired on AP1 TV on Thursday wasn’t kicked off by any of the contestants, but the judge Indira Joshi. She sang a line from a song of hers, “Kaha chhau, I am waiting for you”. So yeah, we thought you might be wondering about the song and so we simply brought it to you.
‘Traffic Jam’ was one of Indira’s first few hits, way before ‘Rato Ghanghara’ and ‘Udhreko Choli’ came into existence. The song that came out somewhere around 2007 was actually Pranay Rana’s title song from his album ‘Traffic Jam’ that also featured Indira Joshi and Baby K on vocals. The catchy song also had a pretty interesting music video shot by Bidur Pandey, edited by Bharat Regmi, and directed by Bhusan Dahal. This video is one of the reasons why she is called ‘Nepali Shakira’ as you can see her belly-dancing in some parts.
