The 2000s was a great decade for Nepali pop music as some of the most beautiful pop songs came out during this period; ‘Samhalinchha Kahile Mann’ was one of them. The song sung by Sugam Pokharel was a part of lyricist Suyesh Bhattarai’s album ‘Harmony’. The music for the song was composed by Jems Pradhan. It still remains one of the most amazing songs and we still can’t get enough of it.
Sahil Zamir Ali who came to limelight through his Nepal Idol audition has recently released his rendition of the song. The aspiring singer from Butwal had made it the Top 64 but couldn’t make it through the theatre round as he forgot the lyrics to Danny Denzongpa’s ‘Hiu Bhanda Chiso’ while performing. Anyway, we’re pretty sure he will do good in his music carrier.
We were talking about his rendition of ‘Samhalinchha Kahile’; this one has Kamal Rana and himself on guitars; and he has beautifully sung this beautiful number. The video is shot and edited by Santosh Chhetri.
We loved this cover. Listen to it here and let us know what do you think of it.
