Arguably one of the most popular Nepali models, Niti Shah, has entered Miss Nepal pageant this year. The 21-year-old made it through the audition this week in Kathmandu.
Shah who had entered the modelling industry in 2012 at the age of 16 is currently one of the most sought after models in Kathmandu. She first appeared on the cover of Teenz magazine, followed by Navyata; and has graced the covers of various such fashion and lifestyle magazines so far.
The journalism student at St. Xavier’s took to her Facebook handle to announce her participation in the pageant on Wednesday.
All the contestants will go through various orientations and training over the next few weeks before the grand finale that is scheduled to take place on June 2nd at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu. Unlike previous years, the pageant will have four title winners from this year as a new title, Miss Nepal Asia Pacific for third runner up, has been added; and the title winner would be representing Nepal at Asia Pacific international pageant. Other three titles — Miss Nepal World for winner, Miss Nepal Earth for first runner up, and Miss Nepal International for second runner up — remain the same.
