When Dibya Subba released the first music video from his debut album ‘Pratha’ in 2005, it became clear that he was here to stay. The song titled ‘Paschyatap’ quickly became everyone’s favorite and so did the other songs from the album, making him one of the most loved pop stars of the 2000s. He didn’t only receive love from his fans but also bagged a lot of prestigious awards that year. Pariwartan was his second solo album before he became a part of The BlueAcidz band, making it Dibya Dubba and The BlueAcidz. The band released their first self-titled album in 2011 and that’s when we last listened to a song from them.
Subba has been long gone. He has performed at some concerts once in a while in these six years but hasn’t released a new song. And quite obviously, his fans have been waiting since quite too long for him to make a comeback; but is he willing to do so anytime soon?
When asked the same, “I am trying to write and compose new songs, let’s see what do I come up with”, he told NeoStuffs from Australia where he has been living lately. “If everything goes well, I might come up with something new next year.”
However, he is not yet sure if it’s going to be a solo work or with BlueAcidz as none of the other band members are in Australia. “I love to record with BlueAcidz. They are my inspiration and my mentor as well but as all of us are scattered in different places, I am not yet sure how is it going to work out”, he said.
“Thank you for always being there for me. Whoever I am now is all because of you. I may be kind of lost for a couple of years but I just want you to know that I will definitely be back with a bang,” he said when asked what he wants to say to his fans.
In the meantime, a music video of his is going to be released next month. He had done the song titled ‘Sathiko Saathma’ a couple of years ago and his filmmaker friend Saurav Manandhar is working on the video.
Well, we are more than excited to even think about him making a comeback and we’re pretty sure it will be huge. Can’t wait!
