LeoAries is a duo of Spirit X’s guitarist and vocalist Abhishek S. Mishra, and former Underside drummer Bbek Tamang who currently plays with Anuprastha. The two have come up with their debut single and it’s hard to say which genre it is as it is a mix of a lot of stuff. It’s a lot of psychedelic rock mixed with electronic music. It would be pretty safe to call it space rock, that’s the closest genre we can think of.

Titled ‘One’, the song starts with some amazing psychedelic music that could not have been any better. “We always loved Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Psychedelic rock is one of our favorite genres too. So we thought, why not make a song with the feel of everything we loved.” Mishra told NeoStuffs. “The song talks about our existence and how as a civilization we have failed to realize that we are not even home. This planet is a stone in which we are traveling through space. We are yet to take the helm of the ship. We are fighting with each other. But some day, long after we are done and dusted, we’ll be home.”

The band that’s named after the member’s zodiac signs; Bbek is Leo and Abhishek is Aries; have recorded two other songs as well. They plan to release an EP after recording one more; and that’s after Abhishek’s return from the United States where he is to play some gigs.
