According to the latest report by National Centre For AIDS and STD Control, there are 26,702 (16,705 male, 9938 female and 59 transgender) reported cases of HIV AIDS in Nepal, as of July 2015. Not every single of these cases, but many of them could have been avoided if only a condom was used during the sexual intercourse. But the irony is, terms ‘sex’ and ‘condom’ are still considered taboo in our society.

The team of Prankster Revival conducted a social experiment recently to see what kind of reactions are received when a girl asks random strangers where she can buy a condom from. Some people were good enough to just tell her the information she seeks but from others, she gets really awkward and weird reactions. A girl even says, “Mero tauko ma paucha” and some people just ignore her like she is some kind of terrorist or even a ghost.
