A sequel to the 2012 blockbuster ‘Saayad’ has been recently announced and the cast and crew too have been finalized for the film scheduled to go on floor in April this year. Let’s find out who are part of this film.

1. Sunil Rawal

Actor/Producer, Sunil Rawal, had stepped into Nepalese Film Industry with Saayad in 2012 and with the very first film, he had tasted success. After Hostel and Hostel Returns, Saayad 2 is his fourth venture under his banner, Durgish Films. He has not only been behind the screen, but has always acted in every single of his films as well.

2. Puspa Raj Neupane

Rawal is known in the industry for introducing promising new talents, whether actors or directors. This time around as well, he has assigned a new director to be the part of the sequel. Puspa Raj Neupane might be new to Nepalese Film Industry but he has worked in various Bollywood movies such as Hate Story 3, Hate Story 2, Raaz 3, Dangerous Isshq, among others as Associate Director. Apart from films, he has directed some Hindi TV series such as Madhubala and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiya as well. The expectations are really high with him for sure.

3. Sushil Shrestha

For the first time, an actor has been repeated in any of Durgish Films’ movies. After debuting with the successful ‘Hostel Returns’ last year, Sushil Shrestha has also been confirmed to play the lead in this Saayad sequel. The model turned actor was well appreciated in his role in the Hostel sequel.

4. Sandhya KC

Model/VJ/Emcee, Sandhya KC, has been assigned to play the lead actress in the film. This is going to be the official debut of her as she will only be seen in a cameo role in Anmol KC starrer Dreams. She has so far been seen in some music videos.

5. Aashirman DS Joshi

After stepping into the world of modelling recenty, this is definitely going to be a huge project for Aashirman Deshraj Shrestha Joshi. Interestingly, his elder brother, Ayushman, was to debut with this banner with ‘Love Number’ last year but for some reasons, the project could not take place. Aashirman is the youngest son of international award winner banker Raveena Desraj Shrestha who was also seen in a cameo in Namrata Shrestha’s ‘Soul Sister’ last year.

6. Amrit Dhungana

Model Amrit Dhungana too is to debut with this sequel. Also a theatre actor at Mandala Theatre, he has been so far seen in various music videos and short films. He already has a large fan following and debuting with this film is sure to bring him more success and popularity.

Ace cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan and editor Surendra Poudel are also the part of this film. The team looks very promising and we just can’t wait for the film to hit the theaters.
