KATHMANDU, NOV 9: Nepal cricket team played one of their biggest matches ever in the history when they faced a top-ranked team, Pakistan, for a 50 over match in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Team Nepal was led by the star player Paras Khadka in the tour match against the full strength Pakistani side that will be facing England in a bilateral One-Day International (ODI) series in a matter of a few days. Nepal was given a target of 327 by the Pakistani side which scored a total of 326 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Chasing the massive target, Nepal was able to score 205 in 50 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Even though Nepal got defeated by 121 runs, the side was able to gather praises from not only Nepali fans but also from Pakistani cricket lovers.
Right after the match was over, cricket fans were all over Twitter, talking about the match and how decently the Nepali side played. The list also included two of the all time favorite Pakistani cricket stars – Shahid Afridi and Ramiz Raja. The former Pakistan skipper and right hand batsman, Ramiz Raja, not only congratulated Nepal on their good performance but also expressed his wish that the two teams must play a T20 series, in his three tweets.

Nepal Lost the match by 121 runs but won the heart of 20 crore Pakistanis and 3 crore Nepalese.

Joining Ramiz Raja to congratulate Nepal was the fastest bowler in the history of cricket, Shoaib Akhtar, who is also popularly known as Rawalapindi Express. He tweeted to congratulate Nepal on their performance and and expressed his happiness that the team is getting stronger.
