SPAIN, SEP 20: The Nepalese queen of trails Mira Rai has grabbed yet another international trail running medal and this time it’s from one of the five most prestigious races in the world – Ultra Pirineu 110 KM in Spain. Rai finished the race in 13Hr-43M-49S which started from Baga at 7:00 AM (Local Time) on Saturday and was able to secure the second position. In a very close battle throughout the day, Sweden’s Emelie Forsberg finished the race in 13Hr-39M-33S to become the World Champion this year. Spain’s Nuria Picas finished in third position.
This is one of the several international achievements in ultra running for the 25 year old Bhojpur girl in a year who has earlier won Barro Sky Night in Italy, Mont Blanc in France, MSIG HK 50 Saikung in Hong Kong, Trail Degli Eroi in Italy, Sellaronda Trail Race in Italy and various other marathon races.
