‘Highway to Dhampus’ to Release in Nepal in June


The release date for the film that has been gathering praises at the various international film festivals has been announced. The much awaited film ‘Highway to Dhampus’ is to release on June 19th (Jesth 29th) in Nepal.

The film had not only received overwhelming responses at some of the major international film festivals such as Heartland Film Festival and San Luis Obispo Int’l Film Festival but also won the ‘Best U.S. Premiere’ Award at Heartland Film Festival. The film has also been selected to be screened at Soho International Film Festival in May and at Madrid International Film Festival in July.

The film written and directed by Rick McFarland stars Rachel Hurd-Wood, Gunner Wright, Raj Ballav Koirala, Suesha Rana, Deshbhakta Khanal, Sayush Gurung Bajracharya, Sophie McShera, Vinzenz Kiefer Masha Tokareva, Sunil Shrestha and more. The movie is jointly produced by Kenneth Hill, Kathy McFarland, Jaswant Dev Shrestha, Charity Dinkins and John De Bilas Williams.

Actor Raj Ballav Koirala, who has been living in USA lately and will be going to Nepal for the premiere, talked exclusively with NeoStuffs and said, “I have been away from Nepal for a while now and it surely feels special to be back home. My audiences and wellwishers keep on asking about the release if Highway to Dhampus on the media and now that I will be there at the release of the movie, this feels so great. This is my new year gift to my audience. I hope they will love their gift. I am really looking forward to this visit.”
