No one can deny the fact that 1974 AD is one of the most loved Nepali bands. They have given the music lovers some of the most immortal songs and the band has tens of thousands of fans all around the world. The fans might get stunned by the news that the vocalist Adrian Pradhan has left the band. He had been more active with his new band ‘Adrian & Frendz’ lately and it was speculated that he might leave his former band. ‘Bistarai Bistarai’ singer Rohit John Chettri and Prajjwal Mukhiya from ‘What The Funk’ are now the new voices of the band.
Talking with NeoStuffs, guitarist Manoj KC confirmed the changes saying, “After Phiroj (Syangden) Dai, Adrian too has left the band. Rohit and Prajjwal have now joined the band.” When asked about the band’s upcoming activities, he told, “We have numbers of gigs lined up and our new songs are ready as well. In fact, we are in the studio at the moment.”
The rock band formed in 1994 have had various changes since its formation but one thing that this band has always succeeded in maintaining is awesome music. And we can expect nothing less than more awesome music from this amazing combination of old and new members who will be playing their first gig together on Friday, the 13th at Moksh, Jamsikhel, Kathmandu.
