The Unity’s ‘Asha Ajhai’ is So Realistic, It Hurts

The popular Nepali rap band ‘The Unity’ is back with their latest single “Asha Ajhai Mareko Chhaina”. The song written by The Unity along with Abeeral Thapa and produced by Rajan Ishan, wonderfully depicts the pain and sorrows that Nepali people have to go through because of our incapable leaders. No matter how many countless difficulties like the bandha, loadshedding, price hikes and etc. that the public have to face, the leaders always enjoy their luxurious and comfortable lives. The music video shot by Bidur Pandey and Yopesh Pradhan, edited by Lokesh Bajracharya and directed by Asif Shah was released on Magh 8 (Jan 22), the day when our leaders were supposed to bring the new constitution but didn’t.

The best thing about the song is that it’s not a song of depression or pessimism but hope. It beautifully encourages the people not to lose hope and look forward to the brighter days ahead.
