We are introducing a brand new segment on the blog and we start it with none other than one of the most influential Nepalese – Malvika Subba. Miss Nepal 2002, actress, model, television personality, social activist and an enterpreneur has recently turned a film producer as well with the upcoming Nepali film ‘How Funny’. So what is the value of music to her? She says, “Music has always been my savior when I have been low and needed a guiding path. I had stopped listening to songs for almost 4 years unless it was for an event or for work. I guess I had stopped having fun or feeling. Once I did, I haven’t looked back. 2015 will be all about exploring new songs and living a story with them.”
Here are three of her current favorite songs which she just can’t get enough of and the reasons why she loves them so much.
1. Let Her Go- Passenger
“What is not to love about this song? I started listening to this song at a low phase in life and I have held on to it since then. The lyrics, the music and the voice, makes it so positive.”
2. Nightingale – Demi Lovato.
“The best part about this song is everybody who has been through hardships and struggles can relate to it. Kind of makes me feel like I have a guardian angel who looks out for me invisibly. I was so impressed with Demi of what she has become today compared to what she was as a child. She is an amazing artist.”
3. Gham Ko Sano Tukra – Astha Tamang Maskey
“I am a huge fan of Astha’s music. I love this song for its innocence and that it has been made for a cause and awareness and fund raising for CWIN.”
