NOV 5, KATHMANDU:They call him God of Cricket, Little Master, Master Blaster and he is none other than Padma Shree Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. The Brand Ambassador of UNICEF for South Asia will be visiting Nepal for a one day trip on 20th of this month. On the occasion of World Toilet Day, he would lay a foundation stone for the people with disability and children friendly toilet in Ratna Park, Kathmandu. As per the sources, he would also meet the Nepali cricket team.
The former Indian cricket skipper is the only player to have played 200 test matches and 463 ODIs. He has scored 15921 runs in test matches with 51 centuries and 18426 runs in ODIs with 49 centuries. He is the only batsman to have 100 centuries in international cricket.
He launched his autobiography ‘Playing it my way’ today in Mumbai. The book has already created a lot of buzz. Sachin has revealed in his book that Greg Chappell wanted him to be captain for 2007 World Cup in place of Rahul Dravid. He has also written in the book that Greg Chappell was not good for the team and wanted to remove all the senior players from the team.
