KATHMANDU, SEP 21:
Hostel Returns, a sequel to 2013’s superhit movie Hostel, was launched today at Ganesh Mandir, Kamladi during the ‘Shubh Muhurat’ and press meet. The producer Sunil Rawal and director Suraj Bhushal tapped the clap-board together and officially launched the film.
The movie which will be produced under the banner of Durgish Films, which has earlier produced two superhit movies – Saayad (2012) and Hostel (2013), is scheduled to be shot in Butwal from October 7 this year. The sequel doesn’t star any of the actors from Hostel and will be starring some new faces like Sushil Shrestha, Nazir Hussain, Sushil Sitaula, Abhay Baral, Shashi Shrestha, Swastima Khadka, Sudam CK, Pradip Kumar Chaudhari, Evas Joshi and Ramesh Shrestha.
The film based on the hostel life of some engineering students will be directed by ‘Maun’ fame director Suraj Bhusal. The music for the film will be directed by Swapnil Sharma, the vocalist of Shadows band and Chanda Pant has been assigned as the action director. It will be interesting to see if this film will be able to repeat the success of its prequel which was based on the hostel life of some medical students and earned instant popularity to its lead star cast Anmol KC, Salon Basnet, Prakriti Shrestha, Gaurav Pahari and Rishta Basnet.
NeoStuffs asked Sunil Rawal that doesn’t he feel risky to cast new-comers in his movies and he answered, “It surely is a risk to introduce debutants but that is what excites me because it won’t be fun if there is no risk involved. I cast the actors according to the demand of the script and it has proved to be a good choice as you have witnessed the successes of my earlier movies – Saayad and Hostel. I have faith on my director’s, actors’ and every single team member’s capabilities and I believe we would be able to present a wonderful movie to our audience.”
