So one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of the year, ‘Kick’ starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui released on 25th July.
The film has become the biggest opener of the year so far with the first day collection of Rs. 26.40 cr nett in India. However, it failed to break the opening day record of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ (Rs 36.32 cr) and Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express (Rs 33.12 cr). However, being a non-holiday, the film’s performance at box office is commendable and the business is expected to grow in weekend. Moreover, Eid holiday is yet to arrive next week, so one can expect a mind-boggling turnaround at box office.
It is to be recalled that Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3’ after opening dull (Rs 25.20 cr) picked up in the following day. Also it recorded the highest ever single day record on Monday with Rs 35.91 cr which however, by the year end was broken by Dhoom 3.
But will it go same for Kick? We still have to see that.
