Rahul Rai, the lead singer of Tribal Rain, has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

The artist from Sikkim reportedly committed suicide at his own residence in Namchi on Tuesday night, according to The Darjeeling Chronicle.

27-year-old Rai was the vocalist and guitarist of the four piece freestyle acoustic experimental band, formed in 2014 in Sikkim, that released their debut studio album ‘Roka Yo Samay’ last year during an event in Kathmandu.

A music video for the band’s popular song ‘Bhanai’ was released a day before Rai’s death.
