Watch: Nepali Chef Sujan Shrestha on Australian TV Show ‘The Chef’s Line’

In 2007, when Sujan Shrestha left for Australia to get a diploma in hotel management, he probably had never thought that someday he would not only appear on Australian television, but also win a competition — that too for cooking a middle eastern dessert.

Well, that happened.

The chef from Kathmandu was part of the latest episode of reality television cooking show ‘The Chef’s Line’ on SBS TV where he competed against three passionate home cooks. Shrestha, who works at an award-winning “One Hatted’ Sydney restaurant called Kepos Street Kitchen, cooked Kanefah with apple tea that impressed the judge – renowned chef Mark Olive – so much that he was announced the winner.

Here, watch Shrestha doing his thing on the show.

Currently in its second season, The Chef’s Line is a reality television cooking competition that features some home cooks competing against professional chefs in a studio kitchen every week.
