New Music: Rohit John Chettri, Mistah K, Wild+, Tenzing Doleck & More


Keeping up with all the new releases can be pretty tough, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Pop, hiphop or R&b; whatever the genre; here are all the good numbers released in last few days that you should not miss.

Rohit John Chettri – Aankhama

The last couple of months have been wonderful for the fans of Rohit John Chettri as the 1974 AD vocalist had been releasing the songs from his second solo album. While the 8-track album called ‘Jhari Pachiko Indreni’ is scheduled to be formally released in September this year, all the songs are already streaming on YouTube.

The last track off of the album was released on Monday this week. Titled ‘Aankhama’, the song performed by Chettri is written and composed by Nischal Khadka. With Roshan Sharma on chaturangi, Suresh Raj Bajracharya on sarod, Ashesh Rai on tabla and Pratik Baniya on bass; it’s RJC who is on guitar and electric piano. Recorded by Manzil Bikram KC, the track is mixed and mastered by Bikal Pradhan.

Mistah K – Summertime featuring Tenzing Dolma

It had been a while since Mistah K dropped a new song; and well, if you’re a fan; you’re in for a treat. The Nepsydaz rapper has released a new single called ‘Summertime’ and it’s the jam you need this summer. The music is produced by Bishesh Pandey aka Chronic Beatz and the track is mastered by Shailesh Shrestha.

wild+ – DRUG$

wild+ released their new single called ‘DRUG$’ last week and it’s dope enough to get you high. The duo of Bipul Dahal and Janam Rana – best known for their most popular track ‘Parkhai’ – are based in Texas and that’s where they release these lit tracks from.

Zac Rai – Like You Do

Zac Rai, the UK-based artist best known for making dope music videos, is coming up with a new EP and he dropped a song from it a couple of days ago. The song called ‘Like You Do’ also features Elijah Melo on vocals and he has also written and produced the song. The track is mixed and mastered by The Redface and it comes with a pretty slick music video shot by ‘Time Chaina’ singer-songwriter Jay Author. It stars Jyoti Gurung.

WLF Mukuto – Sirr Mathi

If you ask us, it’s the underrated underground rappers that are actually ruling the hiphop scene in Nepal – not commercially but in the way they should – technically and lyrically. WLF Mukuto seems to be one of those rap artists who is doing it right. If you don’t believe us, listen to this gem called ‘Sirr Mathi’.

Tenzing Doleck – Jhareko Yo Aansu

Tenzing Doleck released his first music video last week, and it’s done by Fuzz Factory Productions – enough said!

The song written, composed and sung by Doleck himself is mixed, mastered and produced by Diwas Gurung. Prasiit Sthapit, who has shot the music video, also has co-directed it with Rajan Shrestha. Starring Doleck along with Kavita Srinivasan, Nisha Joshi, Biswo Basnet, Mishri Thapa and Raywot Shrestha; the video is edited by Rajan Shrestha.

Zanak Tamrakar – Lau Lau Sararara

When you think of Zanak Tamrakar, you think of the ‘Kafal/Kamala’ mashup. And now he has returned with an original single. Written and composed by his elder brother Mahesh Tamrakar, the track is mixed and mastered by Ujwal Shreyan Mahat and the music is arranged by Uday Raj Poudel. The music video starring Aakash Shrestha and Alisha Rai is shot by Utsav Dahal, edited by Sushil Neupane and directed by Sagar Pradhan.
