It’s official. One of the most popular Nepali celebrity couples is now engaged.
Ayushman Desraj Shrestha Joshi and Priyanka Karki have got engaged. Ayushman’s mother Raveena Desraj Shrestha broke the news on her Instagram handle. “Words cannot express how overwhelmed and filled with Love I feel today as I as Ayushman’s Guardian formally and officially welcome his lady Love into my family who I too have grown to love @priyanka.karki ❤❤ Cannot wait to bring You into my home soon now. May your Love see no bounds and You will Always have my Blessings”, she wrote. [sic]
The two got engaged in a private function in presence of the two families on Saturday (July 14) in Kathmandu. Ayushman’s younger brother Aashirman, however, could not be part of the event as he is currently filming his new film ‘The Breakup’ in Australia.
It’s been over a year since the couple has been together. They had first worked together in Binu Pandit’s 2015 music video ‘Sara Din’, and later collaborated on some cover songs like ‘Maya Ta Maya Ho’ and ‘Like I’m Gonna Lose You’ that they sung together. On the big screen, they were seen in ‘Chhakka Panja 2’ for the first time together last year, and will be seen again in ‘Katha Kathmandu’ that is scheduled for release in September this year.
There hasn’t been any announcement regarding the big day yet.
