AP1 TV’s New Reality Show Is For Aspiring Actors

It looks like AP1 TV has taken it upon itself to provide platforms to all kinds of talents in the country. With Nepal Idol, the network has already changed the lives of some aspiring singers. Boogie Woogie is sure to open new doors for some amazing dancers. And of course, it will also be making people Crorepati with Ko Banchha Crorepati.

A new show is now on its way that will make at least one aspiring actor’s dreams come true.

Nepal’s Mega Cinestar is a new reality acting competition created by Omega Entertainment. The television series will have the contestants compete to win a prize package that includes a one-year talent contract with a confirmed opportunity to play a lead role in a film. That’s not it, the winner will also be walking away with a cash prize of Rs. 20 Lakhs and a brand new car.

Shobhit Basnet, Nischal Basnet and Malvika Subba will be the judges on the show that will have its auditions in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Birgunj and Itahari.

“When I was offered the show as a judge, I was quite surprised and I asked them why me; and they said ‘Why not? Given your experience, you would be perfect.’ So I gave it a thought and agreed”, Subba told NeoStuffs. “It’s a national show which has no international franchise. Our film industry is growing but still, many potentials don’t get the chance. So it’s a great platform to do so.”

“We will also be leading our own teams once the auditions are over. So, I have taken up the challenge. I also want to do this in memory of my friend Nilu Doma Sherpa who was a film fanatic”, she further said.

Alright, you heard her. It can definitely be the platform you are looking for. So, if you think you can be an actor; or if you already are – looking for that one chance to show the world what you’ve got; give this a shot. You can register HERE, starting from March 15th.
