Saman Shrestha is the first ever winner of Himalaya Roadies.
The season finale episode of Himalaya TV’s adventure reality TV show saw the two finalists – Animesh Shahi and Saman Shrestha – compete for the title. While Shahi did give Shrestha a very tough competition, the latter emerged as the winner of the show.
Shrestha, who hails from Dharan, was among the favorite contestants right from the start. He was able to impress all the three judges in his audition and performed well in almost all the tasks throughout the Roadies journey.
The 18-episode series had first aired on July 3rd this year. Over the last three months, we saw the seventeen selected Roadies taking on the journey and performing various tasks in different locations around the nation. With each episode, at least one contestant was eliminated based on the votes cast by each of the contestants.
Along with the title of the first ever Himalaya Roadie, Saman Shrestha walked away with a Bajaj Avenger motorbike and NPR 880k cash – the total amount that was earned by all the contestants together in a number of money tasks.
The first winner of MTV Roadies, Rannvijay Singh Singha, too was a part of the finale episode as the special guest. All the eliminated contestants – ex Roadies – too were there to witness the making of the first title winner of the show.
